General Tips and Tricks
-Don't open your
park at once, build something first. -Build a lot
of toilets. -Build an Information Kiosk right at the entrance of
your park. -Hire a lot of staff. -Don't build queues too
long. -Build a lot of scenery - your park will look better. -Provide
benches and bins on every path. -Give every staff member a patrol
area. -If you have your park entrance 'free', then raise up your
rollercoaster prices considerably. Even around $10.00. -Just have
fun!
How to build a realistic looking park
in RCT
-Don't build trees on rocks - build trees on grass or
soil. -Don't build paths very high, the supports can look
unrealistic. -Spread the rides out. -Make sure you build a lot of
scenery - all good theme parks in the world have trees and
gardens. -Put the right trees on their real soil - e.g. Build cactus
plants on sand, not on normal grass. -I know this sounds crazy, but a
lot of real-life rollercoasters barely have any trees around them
e.g. Colossus at Six Flags Magic Moutnain. This is because the
branches could cause maintenance problems, especially around lift
hills. So if you are going to build a real life park in RCT, if the real
rollercoaster has no trees around it, don't put trees around it. -Don't
build flat rides and shops on supports, in real-life I don't think wooden
supports could hold up a merry-go-round or shop. Also, the black supports
which are built automatically when you build an elevated flat ride or shop
in RCT look ugly. -Go to a real theme park for even more
tips.
